Introduction to Datamine Discover for Geologists
The software is designed especially for the geosciences, and provides the tools to effectively compile, visualize, analyze and map spatial geosciences data.
This two-day Datamine Discover course will familiarize geologists with the basics of the most current version of MapInfo Professional and Discover, a mineral exploration extension for MapInfo Professional. The course ideal for the first time user, as well as the experienced MapInfo user who wants to familiarize themselves with the new 64-bit ribbon toolbar, and where all their favorite utilities are now located. The course consists of a series of lectures and hands-on exercises using geological data to build maps and visualize data.
Each attendee is required to provide their own laptop. An evaluation license for both Datamine Discover can be provided if the attendee does not have their own license. No MapInfo Professional / Datamine Discover experience is needed. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own data sets.
